My wife, Ellen Easley Wallace, is an amazing cook. She created her own business several years ago – Cooking with Ellen. Before we were married, I helped to create Ellen’s cookbook by designing the cover and all chapter cover pages.
Ellen was smart – she had already created and registered her own website, www.cookingwithellen.com, and was using WordPress to manage her posts and recipes. I was able to completely design a new logo for Ellen after the cookbook was released. I wanted to incorporate her business idea into her logo. What better way to do that than with a fork and spoon? I chose a bold font to accentuate her personality and love for cooking. The idea seemed sweet enough.
After a recent redesign of her website, she now has a fully-indexed and searchable collection of recipes and healthy tips, as well as her own online store.
